Ask your systems

Test what your organization knows before an exercise puts it under pressure. Ask answers questions from your connected sources only — always with the exact sheet and row cited — and records what they can't answer.

What it is

Ask is a lookup on your own organization: who owns our CRM system?, who is on call for networking?, which systems does the finance team use? Answers come exclusively from the sources your admin connected — never from general knowledge — and every fact carries its source reference.

You'll find it in two places:

  • The Ask button in the top bar, anywhere in the app — useful when preparing an exercise or checking your information hygiene.
  • Inside the war room, at the foot of the channel list — so you can look up organization facts under pressure, exactly as you would want to during a real response.

Honest answers, recorded gaps

If your sources don't contain the answer, Ask says so — which sources it searched and what's missing — and never invents organization facts. That's deliberate: every unanswerable question is a finding.

Gaps become work

Questions your sources couldn't answer are recorded as knowledge gaps on the Actions page, where they can be owned, fixed at the source, and verified closed. An unanswered question is the cheapest incident lesson you'll ever get.

Questions asked during a session are part of that session's record, so the debrief can show which knowledge the team reached for — and where the answer wasn't there.
